The First International Snakehead Symposium: News from the Front(s)

Abstract

The First International Snakehead Symposium was held in Alexandria, Virginia in July, 2018 and brought together snakehead experts from across the globe. Technical sessions, poster presentations, and a panel discussion occurred over 1.5 days and are archived on the Virginia Chapter of the American Fisheries Society webpage (https://units.fisheries.org/va/). This feature attempts to integrate new findings from that symposium with selected pre‐existing information concerning this Asian fish family that has shown a propensity for worldwide invasion.
