Abstract:We measure the rate of environmentally-driven star formation quenching in galaxies at π§ βΌ 1, using eleven massive (π β 2 Γ 10 14 M ) galaxy clusters spanning a redshift range 1.0 < π§ < 1.4 from the GOGREEN sample. We identify three different types of transition galaxies: "green valley" (GV) galaxies identified from their rest-frame (πππ β π) and (π β π½) colours; "blue quiescent" (BQ) galaxies, found at the blue end of the quiescent sequence in (π β π) and (π β π½) colour; and spectroscopic post-sta… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citationsβcitations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
