Observe the inhibition of Rg 1 against the growth of colon cancer cell strains through dye exclusion experiment in vitro. In vivo, establish the colon cancer animal model, divide the mice bearing tumor into 6 groups randomly, i.e., Rg 1 3, 1, 0.3 mg·kg -1 groups, cyclophosphamide group (CTX), solvent control group, and combined administration group (CTX + Rg 1 ); administer drug into abdominal cavity daily for 10 days, kill the animals after stopping administration for 24h, weigh them and tumors, and calculate the tumor growth inhibition rate (%) and Coefficient of Drug Interaction (CDI). Additionally, establish the SW620 ascites tumor model, assign the animals into Rg 1 3, 1, 0.3 mg·kg -1 groups, 5-fluorouracil group (5-FU), solvent control group, and combined administration group (Rg 1 + 5-FU) randomly, administer drug into abdominal cavity daily for 5 days, record the mouse survival days, and calculate the life extension. Rg 1 can inhibit the growth of tumor significantly, and extend the survival time of mice bearing tumor; additionally, Rg 1 can improve the antitumor effect of CTX and 5-FU.
