Dear Colleagues, After a very stressful 2020, we went through the equally difficult 2021. The COVID-19 disrupted our activities again. On a positive note, we are lucky to have a ''parallel universe'' of virtual technology, so the EAA has remained active. We started the year by setting up a professional office in Budapest, resulting in immediate improvement of our communications to the EAA members. We were also able to have the first-ever online election to the Executive Council resulting in Davor Ježek taking over the Treasurer post from Frank Tüttelmann, and Rafael Oliva joining the Council. Among the first-ever online events, I would like to mention the digital meeting of the EAA Centre Directors in May. I am grateful to the participants for many useful comments and suggestions. The greatest news of this year was the positive outcome of our COST-Action application ANDRONET-allowing us to create an open network of andrologists in Europe and beyond! My warm thanks go to Rafael Oliva for coordinating this action. The ANDRONET was kickedoff in October 2021, and the enthusiasm of the participants and newly elected leaders bodes well for the future of andrology in Europe! We have managed to have only one event held as a face-to-face meeting: the second edition of the Budapest School and examination for the certificate of Clinical Andrologist at the end of summer. I thank Zsolt Kopa and all the faculty for making this event possible, despite the uncertain pandemic situation. Congratulations to the newly certified Colleagues! The EAA also marked its presence at a few andrology events, including the European Fertility Week (online) and the onsite meeting of the Italian Society of Andrology and Sexual Medicine (SIAMS) in Bologna.
