The high-power gyroton

Abstract: A new type of high-power electronic devicegyroton on the corrugated resonator is described. In this device the spatial bunching of the electron beam does not occur; however, highly efficient conversion of electron beam power into the power of the rotating electromagnetic field is possible. The electron beam entering the device is linear; due to its initial deviation from the axis by the slowing TM 11 wave, it then returns its longitudinal energy to the same wave with the efficiency of more than 88%.
