The study aimed to analyze the inculcation of student character values in schools in Palembang City. The study used a quantitative descriptive method. The data collection used observation, questionnaires, and documentation. The sample of the research was 66 samples with quota sampling technique. The study found that the lack of exemplary reinforcement and habituation decreased the understanding and reflection of students' behavioral character values. Furthermore, learning about character values was integrated through the subjects of Civics and Islamic Religious Education. While the school gave the exemplary family and community reinforcement in the form of regulations, policies, and cooperation between schools, families, and communities regularly, as well as habituation of living with character in daily life was still not optimal. It needed to be optimized again so that the character values in students were closely and maximally attached to students both from speech and action.

The purpose of this study is to examine the factors of knowledge, attitude, subjective norms, behavioral control, and religious commitment to influence behavior through intentions for consumption of halal products. Based on the literature review, this research hypothesis states that knowledge, attitudes, subjective norms, behavioral control, and religious commitment affect the behavior through intention. This study uses survey data from questionnaires to 150 respondents. Hypothesis testing technique is done by using SEM analysis with Lisrel software. The results of data processing indicate that Knowledge, Attitudes, Subjective Norms, Behavior Control, and Religious Commitment have a significant influence on behavior through intention to consume halal products. Intensi variables have a significant influence on the consumption behavior of halal products with t value of 7.14. Behavior Control and Religious Commitment have a greater influence on behavior through intention to consume halal products than other variables. Suggestions based on the results of research: first, need to consciously consume halal products by increasing one's religious commitment. Second, it needs to be enhanced the role of society both from internal and external in controlling one's behavior to consume halal product.

The multicultural nature of Malaysian parents expectedly gives rise to heterogenous parenting practices. Despite this heterogeneity, the country’s common collectivistic background that values familism may have shaped parenting behaviours. Since there is a great influence of culture on parenting, there appears to be a need to explore the Malaysian way of parenting. This review aimed to assess, synthesise, and organise the available research evidence on parenting behaviours and parent-child interactions in Malaysia. Recent publications from 2002 to 2021 were examined using a narrative approach. A literature search was conducted using the Scopus, Dimensions.ai, Google Scholar databases, and citation tracking using keywords such as parenting style, parenting, parent-child interaction, parent-child relation, and childrearing. Twenty-four papers on parenting styles, 13 on parenting practices, and 19 on parent-child interactions were included for review. The majority of the studies were quantitative and published in the last couple of years. While findings revealed diverse parenting styles in the country, culturally-conformed parenting behaviours are thought to be more effective than the standard authoritative parenting. Recommendations are made for future research.
