Abstract: Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is a prevalent metabolic disorder among individuals with chronic hepatitis B (CHB), contributing to additional adverse impacts on both hepatic and extrahepatic systems. Existing evidence suggests a potential positive association between CHB and the development of insulin resistance and T2DM.
