The lure of the big city: smaller Danish rookeries are increasingly associated with urban land cover

Abstract: Rooks Corvus frugilegus are common and widespread in urban and agricultural habitats in Denmark. Large numbers are killed annually by derogation shooting to control population growth to reduce noise near populated areas and prevent agricultural damage.
