The early initiation of breastfeeding (EIBF) in postnatal is still a health problem in the world. The prevalence of EIBF in one of the Government Hospitals in Tangerang City in the period January-July 2020 shows that 25.4%. Meanwhile, report in District of Banten Province in December 2018 showed 53.18%. Limited knowledge and experience triggers the behavior of EIBF and lactation is not optimal. Health education is present as an alternative solution in increasing the knowledge and understanding of postnatal about breastfeeding. The research objective was to review articles on the relation of health education on early initiation breastfeeding (EIBF) behavior in postnatal by searching and gathering information and conducting analysis. The research design used literature review on 20 articles from 2016-2019 which were taken from databases such as Google Scholar, Science Direct, PubMed, Research Gate and Elsevier. The results of the analysis of various studies concluded that there was a significant relationship between health education and early breastfeeding behavior (EIBF) (p-value <0.005). EIBF behavior in postnatal is far from satisfactory. The prevalence of EIBF behavior in various regions of the world shows more than half of mothers delay initiating breastfeeding. Health education about EIBF needs to be carried out in a planned, structured, massive, consistent and sustainable manner
