Abstract:BACKGROUND: Pemphigus is a group of potentially fatal chronic cutaneous diseases in which blisters appear on the skin and mucous membranes as a result of IgG autoantibodies binding to desmosomes in the epidermis, leading to keratinocytes acantholysis.
