“…We could speculate that some miRNAs in H. caspica might have the potential for responding to high salt stress at other time points not 48 h. And, by KEGG analysis, the some targets of miRNAs in H. caspica were mapped to relative salt stress pathways. We chose nine possible pathways (calcium signalling pathway, MAPK signalling pathway, plant hormone signal transduction, flavonoid biosynthesis, ubiquitin‐mediated proteolysis, apoptosis, ABC transporter, peroxisome and DNA repair) (Cheng et al ., ; Guan et al ., ; Kim et al ., ; Wang et al ., ) associated with salt stress to do further analysis.
