Assessing the composition of fragmented agglutinated foraminiferal assemblages in ancient sediments: comparison of counting and area-based methods in Famennian samples (Late Devonian)

Assessing cumulative area may be of interest as the variation in the individual size through time and space may be of interest per se in further paleobiological studies, but its estimate will be rendered difficult by the pervasive problem of fragmentation.…”
