Abstract:Adolescent idiopathic scoliosis (AIS) is a common spinal deformity characterized by a Cobb angle greater than 10 degrees and lateral curvature of the spine in addition to vertebral rotation. Women are 10 times more likely to have a Cobb angle of 30 degrees or more.
