The Normal Flame Velocity and Analysis of the Effect of the System Parameters on This Velocity

Abstract: A process chart of flame combustion of gases is suggested, and the region of existence of the normal (or standard) burning velocity U n is given. The results of analysis of numerous experimental data are used to determine the impact made on U n by parameters such as pressure, flame temperature, chemical composition of the mixture, and preheating of the mixture. Generalizing dependences of the normal burning velocity U n on the adiabatic combustion temperature T a and on the preheating temperature T 0 are obtai… Show more

“…The resulting reaction products are subjected to electrolysis in electrochemical apparatuses. At the anode, when an electric current is passed through an aqueous solution of sodium sulfate, sulfuric acid is formed, which interacts with sodium carbonate: SO The gases formed during the electrolysis process (CO2, H2, O2), together with the combustion products, are sent by the air flow from the electrodialyzer to the appropriate equipment (heat exchangers), in which the vapors condense, and the liquid phase is separated from the gaseous one [8].…”

“…The definition of the normal flame speed as well as the methods for its determination are well known and described in many sources. 3 Later studies in this direction were developed, 4 where the influence of such parameters as pressure, flame temperature, chemical composition of the initial combustible mixture, and its pre-heating, on the normal flame speed was analyzed. According to known data, 1 it is important to draw one's attention to the necessity of taking into account the effect of secondary (atmospheric) air on the formation of the flame front during combustion of a prepared mixture in a burner.…”
