Abstract: Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is the golden standard for visualizing brain tumors. Cytotoxic edema and tumor angiogenesis characterize high-grade gliomas. Diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) and contrast-enhanced scanning aid in estimating the blood supply to the tumor and the cytotoxic edema.
