The Particulate Phase: A Voyage from the Molecule to the Granule
Abstract:Flow behavior of solid-liquid two-phase flow systems depends on the properties of the dispersed solid phase, the continuous liquid phase that suspends the solids and the interactions between the two phases. This chapter is an overview of molecular interactions leading up to the formation of solid particle aggregates and surface forces responsible for the stability of suspensions.

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
