Abstract:Background:To evaluate the role of platelet‐activating factor (PAF) in a neonatal rat model of necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC).Methods:NEC was reproduced in newborn rats following exposure to formula feeding, asphyxia, and bacterial colonization.
