Abstract:A retrospective report is presented on the quality of life and the life expectancy of 80 women who gave birth to totally 196 children after pneumonectomy. The women were operated upon in the period 1947–1954 and followed since in regular intervals. Pecularities concerning pregnancy, delivery and motherhood in their relation to the pulmonary function are discussed.
