Abstract:Summary
Isoenzyme pattern of pyruvate kinase was determined in human gonads in the ontogenic evolution and in gonads of patients with primary, “idiopathic” hypogonadism. In the gonads of adult men with normal testicular function the isoenzyme K and M of pyruvate kinase was found. The possibility that isoenzyme M originated from spermatozoa was eliminated by performing electrophoresis of pyruvate kinase in spermatozoa homogenates.
