Abstract:Background. The aim of the study was to evaluate the
safety and adequacy of high vascular ligation while
performing surgery for left-sided colon cancer. We
performed a retrospective analysis of prospectively
collected data of patients operated laparoscopically
for sigmoid or descending colon cancer in a single
tertiary care institution over a period of 10 years.
