The Reduced Stress Method with Stress Shedding for Designing S690 High Strength Steel Slender Plated Girders

Abstract: The numerical analysis of S690 high‐strength steel plate girders with welded sections loaded under combined bending, shear, and compression is presented. The ultimate strength of steel plate girders is evaluated using formulations based on the latest standard prEN 1993‐1‐5 for the Reduced Stress Method (RSM).
