The Role of Carotid Arterial Intima-Media Thickness in Predicting Clinical Coronary Events

Abstract: Noninvasive B-mode ultrasonographic measurement of progression of intima-media thickness in the distal common carotid artery is a useful surrogate end point for clinical coronary events.
