The Role of Latent Beliefs and Group Cohesion in Predicting Group Decision Support Systems Success

Abstract: In this article, the authors focus on determining whether a group's attributes influence the effectiveness of the group's use of group decision support systems (GDSS). Specifically, their research objective is to understand the impact of the perception of the GDSS and group cohesion on outcomes of enjoyment with the process, enjoyment with the decision, the effectiveness of the decision, and efficiency of the decision. To test their hypothesis, the authors conducted a lab experiment. The results were then calc… Show more

(Chin et al, 1999;Schwarz and Schwarz, 2007;Yoo and Alavi, 2001). (Klein and Mulvey, 1995;Langfred, 1998 (Mennecke and Valacich, 1998;Srite et al, 2007 (Davis, 1989;Ajzen, 2002 (Csikszentmihalyi, 1975;1990).…”

(Klein and Mulvey, 1995;Langfred, 1998 (Mennecke and Valacich, 1998;Srite et al, 2007 (Davis, 1989;Ajzen, 2002 (Csikszentmihalyi, 1975;1990). (Moon and Kim, 2001 (Klein and Mulvey, 1995;Langfred, 1998;Schwarz and Schwarz, 2007).

“…But, it is commonly accepted in literature that all loadings of the measurement items on their assigned constructs or latent variables should be larger than any other loadings (Barclay et al, 1995;Gefen and Straub, 2005;Schwarz and Schwarz, 2007;Chin, 1998;Chin, 2010;Urbach and 10 Cross loadings are derived by correlating the component scores of each latent variable with both their respective block of indicators and all other items included in the model (Chin, 1998).…”
