THE Saccharomyces sp. AND Bacillus subtilis BASED PROBIOTICS INFLUENCE ON CHICKEN BROILER PRODUCTIVITY AND CAECUM MICROBIOME COMMUNITY

Abstract: Study of probiotic microorganisms which can produce enzymes and amino acids is important to develop biologicals to prevent disease and increase productivity in poultry. Lactbacillus sp. and Bifidobacterium sp. are widely used as probiotics due to their adhesive ability and antipathogenic activity. Bacillus sp. and yeasts Saccharomyces sp. are less examined but considered perspective as probiotic agents due to antibiotic activity and some other helpful features. Using T-RFLP (Terminal Restriction Fragment Lengt… Show more

“…Our data are in agreement with the studies that demonstrated a certain efficacy of counteracting the pathogenic infections of poultry by means of administration of feed additives, for which purpose various phytobiotics [37,48,51] and probiotics [22,131,137,146,147] can be used. Thus, using the example of Intebio that previously showed a positive effect in pigs [51], we have presented in this study additional information on the efficacy of phytobiotics based on a mixture of essential oils and used as a supplement in the diet of growing chickens.…”

“…In work reported above and in the scientific literature Saccharomyces sp (yeast probiotics) are often combined with bacterial probiotics ( Bai et al 2013 ; Egorova et al, 2016 ). The mode of action for yeast in improving digestibility in the GI tract of animals differs from that of bacteria ( Candrawati et al, 2014 ; Bidura et al, 2016 ).…”
