Abstract:The use of silicon in hydrodesulfurization (HDS) catalysts has had an impact on some of the fundamental parameters for the performance of the HDS catalyst, such as dispersion of the active phase, the extent of sulfidation, or the level of promotion. Mesoporous silicates such as MCM-41, SBA-15, the modified surface of γ-alumina with silica, or mixed Al 2 O 3-SiO 2 support have showed to affect the metal-support interaction, favoring the so-called type II Co(Ni)-Mo(W)-S structures. The aim of this chapter is to … Show more
“…More stacking MoS 2 layers with shorter slabs can bring a higher HDS reactivity. [57][58][59] According to the discussion above, we can infer that the sulfidation occurs from the outside to the inside of the bulk crystalline Co 4 -Mo 12 , and the weak hydrogen bonds can bring about a lower sulfidation temperature. At 200 °C, MoS 2 is formed.…”

In this paper, a Co tetra-capped Keggin crystalline Co4Mo12 was separated from the impregnating solution through the self-assembly strategy. The crystalline Co4Mo12 was structurally characterized and used as a molecular...

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
