Abstract:This article describes the research phase aimed at the creation the sensorized smart prosthesis system to transradial amputees. The main focus of the article is on obtaining vibration frequency and amplitude that are individuality to user and which arise with the application of Force Sensing Resistors (FSRs). These sensors act as the artificial tactile mechanoreceptors. The micro vibrating motors incorporated in vibro-bracelet placed on the upper arm is used to transmit the sensation of grip force to an ampute… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
