The Study of Bacillus Subtils Antimicrobial Activity on Some of the Pathological Isolates

Abstract: The study involved the selection of two isolates from Bacillus subtilis to investigate their inhibitory activity against some bacterial pathogens. B sub-bacteria were found to have a broad spectrum against test bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. They were about 23-30 mm and less against Klebsiella sp. The sensitivity of some antibodies was tested on the test samples. The results showed that the inhibitory ability of bacterial growth in the test samples using B. subtilis extract … Show more

“…This mechanism has allowed antibiotic resistance genes to spread quickly among Enterobacteriaceae and other pathogens like Acinetobacter baumanii 13 . Antibiotic resistance genes 14 , such as the extended-spectrumlactamase CTX-M-15 in Escherichia coli ST131 and KPC in Klebsiella pneumoniae sequence type (ST) 258, may clonally propagate in successfully pathogenic strains 15,16 . Due to HGT and clonal growth 17 , KPC and NDM-1 quickly spread after their first appearance.…”

“…Exopolysaccharide synthesis and biofilm development are induced by adhesion to the catheter surface or bladder epithelium (Nicolle, 2014). Sera from rheumatoid patients exhibit higher levels of Proteus mirabilis IgM antibodies than those from other individuals (Hayder and Aljanaby, 2019b;Kadhum and Hasan, 2019). Through a molecular mimicry mechanism, Proteus mirabilis is hypothesized to contribute to the development of RA in susceptible individuals.…”
