The study on booster output characteristic for conducted electrical weapon applying on biological target and surrogates

Abstract: The effectiveness and safety of conducted electrical weapons (CEWs) are closely related with their booster output characteristics. In this paper, the no-load of a police CEW, and the comparison of booster output characteristics between biological target and equivalent resistance under the same condition are measured, where the results verify the biological target cannot be simply replaced by an equivalent resistance, and a coupling model of resistance and capacity is necessary for next research.
