The Synthesis, Structure and Properties of a New Compound with 1D Linear Chain Arsenomolybdate Anion Building Block. -The new compound [Cu(bipy)] 2[H2As2Mo2O14] is hydrothermally synthesized from a mixture of MoO3, CuCl2, Na3AsO4, bipy, HCl, and H2O (autoclave, pH 3.5, 160 C, 6 d; 58% yield). It crystallizes in the monoclinic space group Cc with Z = 2 (single crystal XRD) and shows an infinite one-dimensional chain structure based on an unprecedented [H 2As2Mo2O14] 4fragment and the transition metal complex [Cu(bipy)] 2+ .
