The top 50 cited classic publications on clubfoot research: A bibliometric analysis

Abstract: Background: The publication citation number incarnates the impact of the article in a special research field. Bibliometric analysis regarding the top cited publications has been extensively used in orthopedics and its subspecialties. “…While Shu et al described the 2000s as the most productive decade in terms of top 50 cited articles, our study found that, in examining all literature, the 2010s represent the most productive decade (n = 916) 6 . This could be attributed to the time required for literature to disseminate or that more foundational work (that is more likely to be readily citable across a variety of discussions) necessarily has to be published before more granular studies could be completed.…”
