The Usage of ROOT in Analyzing Gamma-rays with Covell and Total Peak Area Methods

Abstract: ROOT is a framework for a physicist to save data, to access the data, to mine the data and to publish results in a graphical interface. As a gamma ray spectroscopist, one of the most useful features of it is to estimate and to calculate the integral of a peak area. When this is done, not always these peaks can be isolated easily.
