Abstract:Thermal load and nonlinear effects are two contrary phenomena that make up important drawbacks in rapid progress of high-power fiber lasers. To minimize the thermal load, which limits the average power, doping concentration should be decreased, which brings about increasing length of the fiber. In contrast, the presence of nonlinear effects and their management demand the use of high-doped, shorter fibers in order to maximize the peak power. Management on doping of gain fiber and obtaining a specific doping pr… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
