Therapeutic Schedule Evaluation for Brain-Metastasized Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer with A Probabilistic Linguistic ELECTRE II Method

Abstract: With the rapid development of modern medicine, therapeutic schedules of brain-metastasized non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) are expanding. To assist a patient who suffers from brain-metastasized NSCLC to select the most suitable therapeutic schedule, firstly, we establish an indicator system for evaluating the therapeutic schedules; then, we propose a probabilistic linguistic ELECTRE II method to handle the corresponding evaluation problem for the following reasons: (1) probabilistic linguistic information i… Show more

“…The TOPSIS method (Pang et al, 2016) and the VIKOR method (Zhang & Xing, 2017) are two classical reference point-based methods which are widely applied to solve the decision-making problems. Pan et al (2018) extended the ELECTRE II method to probabilistic linguistic environment to deal with the therapeutic schedule evaluation problem. Based on the proposed differential evolution algorithm, the probabilistic linguistic PROMETHEE method is developed to evaluate the meteorological disaster risk (Yu et al, 2019).…”

“…For hesitant fuzzy linguistic information, Liao et al (2018a) proposed the score-deviation-based ELECTRE II method and the positive and negative ideal hesitant fuzzy linguistic elements-based ELECTRE II method. For probabilistic linguistic information, Pan et al (2018) investigated the ELECTRE II method and applied it to help a patient with brain-metastasized nonsmall cell lung cancer. The PROMETHEE method uses the preference function to determine the outranking relations between alternatives, and the decision results are obtained on the basis of the outgoing flow, the incoming flow, and the networking flow.…”

“…Zhao et al (2018) used MCDM by integrating Fuzzy-Delphi, namely, the best-worst method (BWM), the entropy weight calculation approach, and the VIKOR method to investigate the performances of five selected provincial electricity grid corporations in China [14]. Interestingly, MCDM has been used in many medical studies; for example, Pan et al (2018) used the probabilistic linguistic ELECTREII method to evaluate the therapeutic schedule for brain-metastasized non-small cell lung cancer at Sichuan Cancer Hospital [15].…”
