Therapy with the Elderly

Abstract

In this paper, the collaborative language approach will be used to illustrate how therapists can successfully treat depression of the institutionalized elderly. With many institutionalized elderly experiencing a lack of meaningful conversation, the collaborative language approach can actively engage residents in conversations that begin to change their realities or perspectives on life.
