Abstract:THERMODYNAMIC STUDY OF HIGH TEMPERATURE ZINC OXIDE SULFIDATIONАbstract. The article considers the issues of thermodynamics of zinc oxide sulfidation with pyrite and elemental sulfur in neutral and oxidizing atmospheres and when carbon is introduced into the charge. It is shown that sulfide zinc oxide oxidation with pyrite is thermodynamically probable in neutral and oxidizing atmospheres, as well as in the presence of carbon in the system.
