Abstract:In this work we address several theoretical and computational issues which are related 9 to the thermomechanical modeling of shape memory alloy materials. More specifically, in this 10 paper we revisit a non-isothermal version of the theory of large deformation generalized 11 plasticity which is suitable for describing the multiple and complex mechanisms occurring in 12 these materials during phase transformations. We also discuss the computational
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
