Thixoviscoplastic flow simulations based on Houska thixotropic and Bingham viscoplastic models

Abstract: We present finite element method (FEM) simulations for quasi‐Newtonian modeling approach for thixoviscoplastic (TVP) flow problems. TVP flows are based on Houska thixotropic and Bingham viscoplastic models, which leads to coupled multifield nonlinear problems, which requires on the one hand efficient solver, and a delicate treatment of boundary conditions (BCs) on the other hand.
