Three-component and One-Pot Reaction between Trimethyl Phosphite, Dimethyl Acetylenedicarboxylate and Ethyl 4-Aryl-2,4-Dioxobutanoates

Abstract

A three-component and one-pot reaction between trimethyl phosphite and dimethyl acetylenedicarboxylate and ethyl 4-aryl-2,4-dioxobutanoates is described as a simple and efficient route for stereoselective synthesis of cyclobutene derivatives in high yields.
