Three-dimensional Couette flow of a Jeffrey fluid along periodic injection/suction

Abstract: Three-dimensional Couette flow of an incompressible Jeffrey fluid is formulated and discussed analytically and graphically. The suction is applied over uniformly moving upper plate and its equivalent deduction by injection at the lower stationary plate. Because of this type of suction/injection, this flow turns into three-dimensional. An analytical method is applied to get main flow velocity, secondary flows velocities and pressure components. Also skin friction components along the main and secondary flow dir… Show more

“…Though the Navier-Stokes equations can cope with the Newtonian fluids flows only but these are insufficient to incorporate the configurations of non-Newtonian fluids. Researchers [17][18][19][20][21][22] considered three-dimensional flow of non-Newtonian fluids under various physical conditions. According to the authors, knowledge Couette flow of the second-grade fluid with perpendicular sinusoidal injection/suction velocity has not yet been examined.…”

“…Hayat et al, [3] investigated their research by considering the instantaneous influence of melting heat and inside heat production in stagnation point flow of Jeffrey fluid with variable thickness on a nonlinear stretching surface. Rana et al, [4] suggested a three-dimensional Couette flow of Jeffrey fluid alongside periodic suction. Imran et al, [5] projected Jeffrey fluid in the field of thermo diffusion; thermal radiation effects with chemical reaction using first-order evenly distributed heat flux.…”
