Three New Species, Two New Records and Four New Collections of Tubeufiaceae from Thailand and China

Abstract: Tubeufiaceae, a cosmopolitan family with a worldwide distribution, is mostly reported as saprobic on decaying woody materials from both aquatic and terrestrial habitats. The family is commonly found as helicosporous hyphomycetes, while some are chlamydosporous and phragmosporous. In this study, thirteen helicosporous hyphomycetes were collected from Thailand and China. The phylogenetic analyses of combined ITS, LSU, TEF1-α, and RPB2 sequence data placed them in Dematiohelicomyces, Helicoma, Helicotruncatum, Ne… Show more

“…The maximum likelihood and Bayesian analysis of the combined dataset resulted in phylogenetic reconstructions with largely similar topologies, and the IQ-Tree is shown in Figure 2. Representatives of the sequenced genera (with molecular data) of helicosporous hyphomycetes (Boonmee et al, 2011(Boonmee et al, , 2014Rajeshkumar and Sharma, 2013;Brahamanage et al, 2017;Doilom et al, 2017;Lu et al, 2017aLu et al, , 2018aLuo et al, 2017;Phookamsak et al, 2017;Liu et al, 2019;Tian et al, 2022) are included in our phylogenetic analysis (Figure 2). Thirty-six genera are represented by at least one species in Tubeufiaceae.…”

“…Notes: Helicoma guttulatum was introduced by Hyde et al ( 2016) with morphological and phylogenetic evidence. Tian et al (2022) reported a new collection from Thailand. In this study, three newly obtained isolates clustered with two known strains of H. guttulatum (MFLUCC 16-0022 and MFLUCC 21-0152) with high statistical support (100% ML/1.00 PP, Figure 2).…”
