Three Phase Matrix Converter for Variable Speed Wind Energy System

Abstract: In this paper, a direct ac-ac converter suitable for a variable speed wind energy conversion system is proposed. In wind energy conversion systems, due to the variation in wind speed, there will be variation in shaft speed and hence the frequency of the output will be fluctuating at the generator terminal.
