Thromboelastrometry (ROTEM) (ROTEM delta, TEM, Munich, Germany), Thromboelastography (TEG) (Haemonetics S.A., Signy, Switzerland), Sonoclot (Sienco Inc., Morrison, CO, USA) coagulation analysis [2, 5, 6], whole blood aggregation [7], whole blood thrombin generation [8] and clot waveform analysis testing [9] have the potential to dramatically change our current analytical approach to the assessment of hemostasis, due to their holistic emphasis on the physiology of coagulation.
