Abstract:Thyroid abscess is a rare entity, commonly experienced by immunocompromised patients, or those who have anatomical abnormalities or a pre-existing thyroid disease. An early diagnosis continued by treatment with antibiotics and drainage of the abscess is the recommended therapeutic strategy for such cases.
