THz optical solitons in quantum cascade double ring lasers

Abstract: We report THz optical soliton formation in defect-less ring QCL featuring anomalous dispersion. Free-running spectra with sech2 envelopes are presented together with SWIFT measurement showing ∼12 ps pulses in the reconstructed emission time-profile.
