Time evolution of an anisotropic universe under Kaluza-Klein framework with a dynamical cosmological constant
S. Roy
Abstract:The objective of the present study is to determine the time evolution of the universe for zero spatial curvature, under Kaluza-Klein framework, in the presence of an anisotropic fluid. To derive the field equations, we have used a power law relation between the normal scale factor and the extra-dimension scale factor. Time-variation of cosmological quantities depends upon the parameter that connects these scale factors. Using an ansatz for a hybrid scale factor (i.e., a = t α e βt ) we have derived expressions… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
