Time‐resolved strain and deformation measurement on the vibrating saxophone reed

Abstract: Single-reed musical instruments, such as the saxophone, generate sound through a complex interplay between the mechanics of the reed and the hydrodynamic and acoustic pressure in the instrument mouthpiece.
