Timing sequence changes of landscape plants in Shanghai Area, China

Abstract: Based on published reports and direct observation, the common resources of landscape plant species in the Shanghai area were identified and studied in terms of the landscape characteristics of timing sequence changes over a one year time period. The results showed that there were 199 common landscape plant species in Shanghai, distributed in 67 families and 129 genera. These plants were categorized by three ornamental characteristics: flowers, foliage and fruits. The species were thus further analyzed accordin… Show more

“…During a survey of rural areas in Guangzhou, a distinct male adult was reared from stream sediment, which conformed largely to the generic diagnosis of Yaeprimus but its color pattern on the abdomen and legs clearly differs from that of the type species Y. isigaabeus. Subsequently, similar specimens collected by the NKU Chironomidae group in Hainan were allocated into the above unknown species after a thorough comparison [7]. Here we confirmed it as new to science and described it based on adult males and pupae.…”

“…Impotence due to damp-heat in the lower jiao primarily results from excess intake of sweet and oily foods, which produce damp-heat and then relax the sinews. Thus, Yinlingquan (SP 9) was needled to remove damp-heat in the Liver and Spleen Meridians; Sanyinjiao (SP 6) [6] was needled to resolve the damp-heat through urine; Shangliao (BL 31), Ciliao (BL 32), Zhongliao (BL 33) and Xialiao (BL 34) were needled to activate the bladder; in addition, Zhi Bai Di Huang Pill was prescribed to enrich yin and extinguish fire [7] , clear heat and resolve dampness. It should be stressed that impotence from the accumulation of damp-heat should be needled by reducing techniques; otherwise excellent results can not be achieved.…”

“…For example, Yang et al studied the growth of L-alanine crystals in aqueous solution by molecular modeling. The crystal habits in the presence or absence of impurities with different concentrations were also predicted [37]. Considering food additives, crystallizing technology is commonly applied to purify raw materials, prepare crystals from amorphous state, handle oiling-out problems, etc.…”
