Abstract:Joint replacement of the lower extremity in Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA) is becoming more commonly performed worldwide. These young adults experience severe pain and disability from end-stage arthritis, and require joint replacement of the hip or knee to alleviate pain, and restore ambulation and function.
