Total thyroidectomy in a patient awaiting heart transplant with amiodarone‐induced thyrotoxicosis: A case report

Abstract: Thyroid function may have a severe impact in cardiac function. Herein, we present the case report of a 53‐year‐old male patient awaiting heart transplant with amiodarone induced thyrotoxicosis that presented a marked improvement of his cardiac function after total thyroidectomy.
