The advancements in peer-to-peer wireless power transfer (P2P-WPT) have empowered the portable and mobile devices to wirelessly replenish their battery by directly interacting with other nearby devices. The existing works unrealistically assume the users to exchange energy with any of the users and at every such opportunity. However, due to the users' mobility, the inter-node meetings in such opportunistic mobile networks vary, and P2P energy exchange in such scenarios remains uncertain. Additionally, the social interests and interactions of the users influence their mobility as well as the energy exchange between them. The existing P2P-WPT methods did not consider the joint problem for energy exchange due to user's inevitable mobility, and the influence of sociality on the latter. As a result of computing with imprecise information, the energy balance achieved by these works at a slower rate as well as impaired by energy loss for the crowd. Motivated by this problem scenario, in this work, we present a wireless crowd charging method, namely MoSaBa, which leverages mobility prediction and social information for improved energy balancing. MoSaBa incorporates two dimensions of social information, namely social context and social relationships, as additional features for predicting contact opportunities. In this method, we explore the different pairs of peers such that the energy balancing is achieved at a faster rate as well as the energy balance quality improves in terms of maintaining low energy loss for the crowd. We justify the peer selection method in MoSaBa by detailed performance evaluation. Compared to the existing state-of-the-art, the proposed method achieves better performance trade-offs between energy-efficiency, energy balance quality and convergence time.

Wide attention has been drawn to the application of space networks (SN) in recent years. Compared with terrestrial networks, SN have a set of unique characteristics, e.g., a long propagation delay, time-varying channel quality, and dynamic link connection, which causes the inapplicability of mature terrestrial networking technologies. Therefore, the focus of SN application is to innovate and break through a series of key networking technologies and protocols. Network emulation is critical for evaluation and verification in the research of networking technologies and protocols. This paper concentrates on designing an emulation platform which provides a realistic, flexible, and extensible experimental environment for the SN. The architecture of platform includes four components, namely the logical plane, control plane, data plane and measurement plane. Container technology is adopted to flexibly symbolize network nodes. The emulation method of dynamic connection relationships and time-varying link characteristics between pairwise nodes are considered so as to realize the real space environment and arbitrary topology. Furthermore, an extensible structure is described to emulate large-scale scenarios and access external emulation resources. Finally, experiment results show that the proposed platform is capable of emulating diverse, dynamic, and complex SN scenarios with high precision.

Radio Frequency Energy Harvesting (RF-EH) networks are key enablers of massive Internet-ofthings by providing controllable and long-distance energy transfer to energy-limited devices. Relays, helping either energy or information transfer, have been demonstrated to significantly improve the performance of these networks. This paper studies the joint relay selection, scheduling, and power control problem in multiple-source-multiple-relay RF-EH networks under nonlinear EH conditions.We first obtain the optimal solution to the scheduling and power control problem for the given relay selection. Then, the relay selection problem is formulated as a classification problem, for which two convolutional neural network (CNN) based architectures are proposed. While the first architecture employs conventional 2D convolution blocks and benefits from skip connections between layers; the second architecture replaces them with inception blocks, to decrease trainable parameter size without sacrificing accuracy for memory-constraint applications. To decrease the runtime complexity further, teacher-student learning is employed such that the teacher network is larger, and the student is a smaller size CNN-based architecture distilling the teacher's knowledge. A novel dichotomous searchbased algorithm is employed to determine the best architecture for the student network. Our simulation results demonstrate that the proposed solutions provide lower complexity than the state-of-art iterative approaches without compromising optimality.
